The electric grid is “turned off” and Nigeria is facing a power blackout.

Nigeria News:

Nigerians are facing more power blackouts, not by natural disaster but by suspected militants. The Utorogo Gas Plant, operated by shell petroleum is now wasted and power in Nigeria has dropped to 1,400 megawatts. It needs approximately 7000 for a stable electric grid. It's very unfortunate these incidents have and continue to take place, natural or not they are a prime example of “light out”. They should remind us how we can better prepare ourselves NOW and plan for emergency electricity, but more importantly, of how much humans need to change in order to survive.

I hope for the best to everyone affected by Nigeria’s energy crisis. Let’s hope their power, solar or not, is restored soon.
